Southern California Natives, Sanity Menon & Ra Connect For Their Chill New Project

High energy is always appreciated, especially in Hip-Hop. Still, despite this, some of the best music in Hip-Hop history is laid back, hazy enough for you to relax and smoke one too. Hailing from Carson and Compton, respectively, Santiy Menon and producer, Ra make that exact kind of music, and they double down with their enjoyable new project, City Dwellers.

Produced entirely by Ra, City Dwellers is an sample heavy, back-to-the-basics kind of album that finds Sanity Menon taking over vocal duties. Stepping up to the plate, Sanity effortless holds it down, meshing together intriguing cadences and notable wordplay. Songs like, “Stringz,” and “Workflow,” do a brilliant job of highlighting the chemistry between the duo. Another noteworthy nugget is that the project only has one feature, Aste Mari, which means that for 52-minutes, it’s just the the two of them going to work, quite impressive.
