Southern California Native Flip Major Recruits Chris O’Bannon & G. Perico For Their Amusing New Single, “Excited”

Traditionally, Los Angeles Hip-Hop has always had more of a festive feel to it. Throughout the years, L.A. has produced a host of artists that have provided iconic party music that has soundtracked most of our younger lives. This tradition hasn’t stopped with the newer generation, as the city has kept up with the times, introducing even more heavy hitters in recent years. Looking to further establish himself among that crop, So Cal rapper Flip Major checks into our pages for the first time with his Chris O’Bannon and G. Perico assisted single, “Excited.”
Produced by K.Y, “Excited,” is a festive, infectious record that finds the trio of artists eagerly displaying their obvious chemistry together. Kicking off the track with an engaging chorus that buoys the song in general, Chris impressively sets the tone before Flip Major comes in for the first verse. Showcasing his ability to shift through slick flows, Major provides relatable one-liners like, “Don’t even try it, act like you don’t love me, I know you’re lying,” over the bouncy production from K.Y. Playing clean up, Perico turns in a vintage performance showcasing his signature vocal tone that’s flanked by a towering, tongue twisting flow cadence structure.
In all, “Excited,” is an engaging listen that feels just a bit more official than some of the other #MAJORTUESDAYS releases. Take a listen to the single below and keep your eye out for more from Flip Major.
