Hip-Hop is in a crazy time, right now. Due to the sheer amount of people making music these days, it’s really hard to determine what’s worth clicking on, and what might be just a 15-year-old kid singing over off-key autotune. Ultimately, though, this has made for some discoveries that probably wouldn’t of happened in any other era, such as much of the Soundcloud alumni. So, you’ve got to take the good, with the bad. Hailing from Seattle, rising artist LaLion definitely falls into the former category, and he proves so on his new project, LIME.

Standing for, “Look Inside My Envy,” LIME is a 15-track sampler board that showcases all of the qualities that make LaLion a prospect to watch. Whether it’s his pure energy on songs like, “Zookeepers,” his penmanship on tracks like, “Punk,” or his ability to produce, which is most of the project, the Seattle rapper does a brilliant job of establishing his presence, ditching any and all features to give us his unfiltered talent. In short, at the end of this eclectic ride, you’ll feel drained, but you’ll feel satisfied.

Take a listen to the project below and get familiar with LaLion.
