Rising Nashville DJ, Logan Garrett Enlists Roscoe Dash For His Groovy New Single, “Pitted”
The music industry, much like the world in general, tends to smile down upon those who have multiple talents. While it’s great to be a talented in one area, the internet propelled DIY culture ahead at full steam, causing artists and executives alike to start developing more skills. Hailing from Nashville, Logan Garrett knows this notion all too well, as he made a name for himself managing tours, most notably the, “Karate In The Garage Tour,” headlined by Starlito and Don Trip. Still, the Tennessee native moonlights as a talented DJ, who’s combination of a dominant IRL presence at shows with a slate of original releases has made him a name to watch. Checking into our pages for the first time, he drops off his engaging new single, “Pitted.”
While Garrett has made his bones in the Hip-Hop world, “Pitted,” serves as a pivot from that sound, instead invoking elements of Electronic music. Featuring Roscoe Dash on the vocals, the DJ laces him with infectious video-game like synths to go along with a steady drum break, allowing for Dash to stay in his desired pocket for the duration of the record. Crooning about a hazy night that comes with certain revelations, Dash gives a vintage performance as he takes full advantage of impending beat drops to set the table for all-out bursts of energy. Accompanied by a video of Dash performing the record in front of a decently sized audience, the aforementioned energy is on full display as he and Logan Garrett provide the audience with a memorable performance.
