Rising Brownsville Artist, Tommy Cole Delivers His Impressive New Single

Music is a powerful tool to use when you’re trying to get over something. It could be heartbreak, it could be stress, it could be anything — there’s always a song for it. The reason being: artists are a national treasure. Instead of listening to music when they’re down, they make it for us. Hailing from Brownsville, Tommy Cole is exactly one of those artists, and he proves it on his reflective new video for, “Better Than That.”

Directed by Film Shockers, “Better Than That,” is an intriguing, yet triggering, video that finds Tommy crooning through the record as he argues with his girlfriend about an apparent pill addiction. Rhyming about the past love, Tommy infectiously does a brilliant job of meshing together his intriguing melodies with such a tough message to convey. Although the contents of the record make for a sad listen, the song finds it’s footing in Cole’s ability to keep things sonically enjoyable.
