Riding the Wave of Recent Success, Louisiana Rapper, OTL Beezy Delivers His Anticipated New Album

Often times, for me at least, an album with a storyline takes precedent over anything — regardless of genre. That doesn’t mean it needs to be a Boom-Bap rapper, or a Neo-Soul singer doing the storytelling, no. That’s where we’re often wrong. Most of the time, those with the most pain, tell the best stories. And in the trenches, pain is damn near currency. Telling the story of a man going through everything, and still standing tall — Louisiana native, OTL Beezy releases his cinematic new project, God Be My Witness.
Clocking in at 14-tracks and produced by a host of talented up and comers, the project’s immediate charm lies in how the production seamlessly meshes with everything. From vocals, the mix and everything in between, the sonic crispiness of this project is what ultimately keeps you on board, initially. From there, you’re bombarded with a slate of aggressive lyricism, clever line-drivers and a solid list of features that includes the fan-favorite single, “Twin Slimes,” featuring Slimesito. With this tape being hosted by Black Stone 5 Star General, Iraq God, it seems as if Beezy has started taking this more seriously, which is a good thing for us, and bad for the competition.
