While fashion has always been an pivotal part of Hip-Hop, it feels like that stance has tripled over the last decade. What was popularized by A$AP Mob, Fashion Rap has moved over from fad to something that drives sales and needs to be taken seriously. Through this, we’ve been introduced to an army of new rappers who are giving a refreshing take on how to dress. Hailing from Queens, New York, rising sensation, CamilosGarden is one of those artists, and he proves his style in his new video for, “Tie Dye.”

Directed by David Anthony Baez, “Tie Dye,” is a fun, quirky video that follows Camilo and featured artist, Leigh Paris through a night of hijinks. Taking place in a Go-Kart alley, the video kicks off with Camilo and Paris cleaning the place up before their manager comes in, says he’s, “Going home to cheat on his wife,” (no, really) and asks them to lock the place up. Armed with a jolt of energy, the duo immediately change into their other work uniform and invite a bunch of women over for a fun night in. The climax of the video is when the manager walks in to find everybody in his store, only for Camilo to give him a jar of tips, which prompts the manager to keep the party going. It is truly a fun video.

As for the record, produced by Dee B, “Tie Dye,” finds Camilo eagerly showcasing his incredible melodic abilities. Blessed with a vocal range from another planet, he bends melodies and utilizing auto-tune to his advantage in a way that not many others do. Highlighted by a hard-to-forget chorus, as well as an enjoyable verse from Paris, “Tie Dye,” is Camilo putting some of his best work forward.
