Although I was late to the party, as I didn’t see the movie until my adult years, I’m a fan of the Quentin Tarantino classic, Pulp Fiction. The thing I enjoyed most about the movie wasn’t the gore, it wasn’t the action, it was the dialogue. I loved how significant even the most trivial of banter could be in times like when Vincent Vega accidentally shoots their passenger during the middle of a harmless monologue, completely unsuspecting. So when I came across the cover art for Jizza Raw and Jus O’s new song, “Messi,” — which depicted that scene, beautifully — I knew I had to tap in.

Produced by MBWAV, “Messi,” is a stylish, lyrical affair that sees Jizza and Jus O bouncing seamless off one another, establishing a seamless chemistry that adds to the charm of the record tremendously. With the track only sitting at 2-and-a-half minutes, the replayability is there as well, as the infectious keys from the production mesh perfectly with the engaging vocal tones and cadences provided by Jizz and Jus O.
