In the midst of everything that’s going on right now, I think one of the bigger messages that should be taken away from this is that we need to do better in supporting our black artists, business men/women and everything in between, and we need to celebrate areas where people like that are deriving from. One of those areas is Indiana, who’s seen a surge in attention to their Hip-Hop scene in the last year or so. One of the reasons for that is rising artist, Paper Cleveland, who pulls together some of Indiana’s other great talent for his new project, Big Gang Theory.

At 26-minutes, the 10-track project is a short, energetic ride filled with many twists and turns. Boasting a list of features that include Distinct, Maxie, Woogie and Richie Bux, Big Gang Theory is a fantastic time capsule into the sound of what’s happening in that area right now. Calling on his most trusted producer, TyjuanOnTheBeat, as well as a few others in Ozzie and Willis, the team creates an enjoyable story with infectious melodies, cadences switches and engaging lyrics. After kicking the year off with his last single, “Popovich,” this project was the perfect way to follow it up and set himself up for a good run to end the year.
