Orange County Crooner, Damian Drops Off His Debut Visuals

Look, here at Very Bad, we pride ourselves on being first. So let us be the first ones to tell you, Treacherous Records has signed themselves a star. Sure, that may be a lot to say after somebody’s debut visual, but when you do this everyday, you start to see a pattern. Hailing from Orange County, California, rising singer, Damian drops off his engaging first video for, “Closer.”

Directed by, Truman Kewley, the most immediately charming quality of this video has to be the use of the visual filters. Painting Damian in stimulating shades of blue, red and others, the filters help the listener to focus solely on the video, creating a distraction for all other distractions. As for the song, Damian spends the 3-minute long record singing his heart out, but still leaving more to be imagined. That’s not to say that he can’t sing, he obviously can, it’s to say that he can sing this well when I know there’s still more hiding back there. Genius move to make us come back for more, if you ask me.
