Coming out of Oakland, rising rapper, RonnieMac has been one of the more consistent forces on the underground scene for quite some time now. Known for his ability to combine gritty lyricism over traditional Bay Area production, Ronnie has found a sweet spot, creatively, that most can only hope for. Looking to further solidify his name, he drops off his fifth project of the year in the form of, Mac Friday.

Comprised of nine tracks, Mac Friday is a fun, engaging project that finds Mac in his party music element. Utilizing high octane production and mixing it with his infectious cadences, Ronnie seems like a less intimidating side of himself on songs like, “Tear it Up,” and, “Love Me,” though that feeling is quickly dispelled with a listen to lyrics like, “My snow bunny, she on go, nigga. Plus I got a square bitch, checking in more money than these hoe bitches!

In all, Ronnie sounds more energized on this project, making for some of his best music to date. With everything, other than, “Movie,” being produced by Drew Banga, it’s clear that the two have chemistry. Here’s to hoping we hear more from the duo in the near future.

Check out the project below and get familiar with RonnieMac.
