Los Angeles Vocalist Taylor Belle Checks In With Her Infectious EP, ‘Out of Body’
Over the last half-decade, we’ve seen a resurgence in contemporary R&B that has awarded us some of the more authentic artists we’ve seen in a while. After a change of pace during the first decade of the millennium due to a emphasis being placed on Pop sounds, R&B settled back in post 2015, providing artists like Summer Walker, SZA, Lucky Daye and more. Another artist that has benefited from the switch back to authenticity is L.A. songstress Taylor Belle. After capturing a notable audience due to a consistency during the early pandemic, she keeps the streak going with her engaging new EP, Out of Body.
Kicking things off with her infectious single, “DNA,” the EP starts out immediately establishing some of Belle’s most engaging qualities, most notably her ability to seamlessly relate with the listener. Blending relatable songwriting with a vast vocal range, she impresses on songs like the aforementioned intro, as well as songs like, “Learn Me,” and, “Take it Easy.” On the latter, she invites Grammy-nominated artist Tank God to help on production and vocal duties, resulting in a display of obvious chemistry that jumps right through the headphones. With the former, she opts to tackle the topic herself, as she provides her best vocal performance of the project crooning about the person she loves most not really knowing her like they think they do, which could potentially serve as an allegory for self-love.
In all, Out of Body serves as a wonderful introduction to Taylor Belle for those that are unfamiliar, while also satisfying pre-existing fans. Take a listen to the project below and get familiar with the rising vocalist.
