Los Angeles artist Lil Dujour delivers energetic new visual
Los Angeles artist Lil Dujour makes his VeryBad debut with his energetic new visuals to his single “Shawty Pt. 2”.
The rapper/singer/producer/rockstar has been making noise in the west coast from Southern California to Nevada and beyond, with his own unique sound that feels like a cross between trap music and metal. This sound is best showcased in “Shawty Pt. 2” as he croons sharply about lost love over a relentless drumbeat and an infectious melody. Lines such as
“Most things are better left unsaid, but I think you should’ve picked me instead” ,
show his vulnerability toward the situation, but his attitude and inflection says he’s already over it, and that’s what makes the lyrics standout.
The Qwaig-directed music video is just as captivating, showcasing a vibrant colorway set against a backdrop of the Las Vegas valley. From the studio, to the desert, to the front seat of a BMW, Lil Dujour gives us a glimpse of his ever-moving lifestyle. He’s a man of many talents and all of that stored creativity seems to make it impossible for him to stay in one place for too long. If you aren’t sold yet, here’s the kicker: this song, like almost all of his material, was produced by the man Dujour himself.
