Las Vegas Rapper, Roi Lorange Turns in His Engaging New Single, “In My Dreams…”

In the last 10 years, Hip-Hop has shape-shifted itself and morphed into countless different sub-genres. For some, this has signaled the end of the world. For the sane, this evolution has brought us different types of styles that we never deemed imaginable. Hailing from Las Vegas, rising rapper, Roi Lorange is a product of that evolution. Sporting red hair (hence the name), a humble attitude and a down-tempo sound, the Sin City product proves he’s more than just a passing fad on his new record, “In My Dreams…”

Produced by Roi with string provided by Jordan Knapp, “In My Dreams…” is a melodically experimental track that gives Roi enough room to let his pen bleed a bit. Recorded over quarantine and touching on the oh-so-familiar topic of not being able to see our loved ones during the shut down, he puts some of his more intriguing talents on display. Instead of using his normal pitch, he instead goes the monotoned route, which plays perfectly into the laid-back nature of the sounds on the record. While it would be easy, though lazy, to brand this as just another Soft-Rock track, the best part about this song is Roi Lorange infectiously meshing qualities of Hip-Hop and Alt-Rock together in harmony.
