Las Vegas Rapper, Jay Grindz Delivers His Engaging New Project

Watching an artist develop is one of my favorite things in this world. More-so now than ever due to platforms like Audiomack and Soundcloud, we are getting to watch artists either develop into stars, or flame out in real time. Due to this, for some artists, we get to see the journey from potential, to talented, and that switch is something to see. Signaling his arrival, Las Vegas artist, Jay Grindz showcases vast improvement on his new project, Traumatized.

Clocking in at 9-tracks, Traumatized is an incredibly engaging project that finds Grindz pondering over many things such as success, failure, struggle, love, hate and everything in between. Chronicling his journey from not knowing if he would live, to having peace and freedom in his everyday life, one of the best qualities of this project is how well it’s written. By the end of the project, you feel as if you know him personally.

As for standouts, some of the best songs on the project are, “Pain,” the album’s lead single, “Fall Through,” the Impact RH assisted record for the ladies, and “Trippin,” without a doubt the best song on the project. Produced by, BeatsByHT, “Trippin,” is an easily enjoyable record that finds Jay sounding his most comfortable, and rhyming his best. Speaking of the struggle that comes from falling down and attempting to get back up, this is also the record that is the most relatable.
