Rising through the ranks of the crowded Los Angeles Hip-Hop scene is one of the more difficult things to do in music. While the structure in place allows for artists to take advantage of certain opportunities, the pond is so big that it takes something special to get noticed for said opportunities. Hailing from the city, P1 is that something special, and he continues his ascension up the ladder with his new single, “Hold Me Down.”

Shot by buzzing L.A. videographer, Brainztem, “Hold Me Down,” is an infectious, visually stimulating video that follows P1 and his lady on a journey to handle some business — evidenced by the ski mask — where she is about to be seemingly put to the test. Soundtracked to pristine production from Treacherous Records, the rising crooner does a brilliant job of establishing his presence on the song. Utilizing his strong vocal range and melodic ability, he doubles down on the video and makes this a great release.

Take a peek at the video below and get familiar with P1.
