Kevin Powers Turns in His New Single, “Punchline”

Following up after his successful release “Walked in”, 19 year old, North Carolina native, Upcoming Hip Hop artist Kevin Powers, brings us a hot new single “Punchline”, luring in new and avid hip hop listeners with his distinctive smooth vocals that are accompanied with bouncy upbeat instrumentals and infectious hooks.

“Punchline” is a song about Powers being honest about affection towards his romantic partners. At first, through his catchy and body dancing hook it may seem that he holds rather little to no affection, switching between lovers and partners, however within the pre hook, Powers honestly speaks about how heartbreak has affected the display in affection and empathy towards his partners. Although Powers may speak lyrically on the high rise of most rappers today (women, money, and etc.) he speaks to himself on what it cost and like a punchline he concludes.

“Punchline” was produced by Kevin’s longtime friend Whit Kane, who also produced his latest successful hit “Walked in’’ which has garnered more attention to his music reaching over 350,000 streams on Spotify alone. Powers brings a youthful energy to his melodic sounds creating a hook that sticks to listeners and music enthusiasts alike. The consistent release of bangers highlights his ability as an artist to watch out for this year.
