Relationships are hard work, and often times, communication — or lack thereof — is the prodding cause for many arguments. Still, for some reason, humans continually fall into that veil of insecurity like it’s a plague, and just like with any major sickness, it’s hard for your relationship to come back from. This is the exact circumstance that Compton rapper, Kee Riches is trying to avoid on his infectious new track, “Tell Me.”

Traditionally known for his more introspective, and at some times aggressive, records, “Tell Me” is a risky, but incredibly rewarding lane for Kee Riches. A lot of times when rappers more known for their bars start trying to sing, it comes out sounding forced and a bit redundant. Instead, Riches sounds as refreshing as ever as he lets his guard down and impressively croons about a relationship that’s clearly lacking communication over catchy production from XL. Having already amassed social media acclaim through a snippet before it’s release, you can be that this record will be a special one for the Southern California rapper.
