Cleveland Vocalist Khadi Lee Surfaces With His Engaging New Video For, “FriendZone”

While Cleveland isn’t traditionally known as a hotbed for Hip-Hop and R&B talent, the city has been on par with most in recent years in trying to break new artists. Hailing from the city, rising vocalist Khadi Lee is one of those artists, who’s previous releases led him to being named as the Spotlight Artist on the Cleveland’s iHeart affiliate radio station. Looking to build upon that accolade, he returns to the booth with his engaging new video for his standout single, “FriendZone.”
Serving as a standout from his recently released Sneaky Link EP, “FriendZone,” is an engaging, enjoyable record that finds Khadi crooning about relatable topics such as climbing out of the friend zone. Utilizing breezy production that perfectly compliments his infectious melodies, he pens a tale about making the conversation about hopping out of the friend zone less taboo. Directed by Jake Johnson, the accompanying video does a brilliant job of bringing the story to the screen, as we find Khadi boo’d up throughout the video, eagerly pleading his case to exit the friend zone.
