Growing up as a kid on the West Coast, Cleveland was mostly on the back burner of cities that I thought about. It was no offense to them, it’s just that I always dreamed of going to places like New York City as a Cali Kid. Anyways, that all changed during 2003–2008 in the span of a 5-year-window when Cleveland provided me two of my favorite people during my childhood: LeBron James and Kid Cudi. After the emergence of those two, Cleveland seemed cool as fuck and has had my respect to this day, so when I came across native rapper Adi Rei and his dope new video for, “Twisted,” I knew I had to write about it.

Directed by Rei himself, and Cobain of Guapruns, the video finds it’s footing with colorful effects, poignant shots, beautiful women and nice cars. Soundtracked to, “Twisted,” Rei showcases an effortlessly intriguing flow over his self-produced beat, which is a banger in itself. Utilizing clever one-liners and a whole lot of charisma, Rei establishes himself as an artist to watch in this video, and would’ve for sure been part of my Cleveland fandom as a teenager.

Check out the video below and get familiar with Adi Rei.
