One of the most popular sayings that people from the Bay Area and Detroit like to say is that the two areas are cousins, or kindred spirits, if you will. There have been many examples pointing to this, but perhaps the most substantial of those is how closely the music is related. Bouyed by fast-paced production and punchline-heavy raps, the two areas have been responsible for some of the best collaborations the genre has to offer. Looking to continue the tradition, Bay Area rapper Ronniemac returns to our pages with his Silent 313-assisted new single, “Waldo.”

Produced by CloudyOnTheBeatz, the record starts off instantly catching your attention with chilling piano keys, followed by Ronnie coming in aggressively to help further set the tone. Rhyming in the Detroit-centric cadence that has become a staple in Scam Rap, Ronnie showcases a bit of versatility on this record as he sounds comfortable rapping in a situation more set up for Silent, a Detroit native. As for Si, he comes in banging the door down with a scathing guest verse that creates anticipation for more of his solo work, expected later this year.

In all, “Waldo,” is an exciting collaboration from two rising rappers that are creating a lot of energy in their respective circles. Check out the record below and get familiar.
