Ascending Atlanta Musician, Bedrooms Delivers His Infectious New Single

Music discovery still matters. During the middle of 2019, I was doing some playlist work for another publication, which allowed for me to take in submissions via Twitter. As something like that normally does, my mentions were broken, but at least it was flooded with submissions — the odds were in my favor to find at least a few records I liked. Instead, I was introduced to my favorite Rock record in years, which is, “Rock Bottom,” a somber, yet significant DIY record that really pulls at every one of your insecure feelings. The man behind it? A talented musician from Atlanta named, Bedrooms. Following it up with a bang, he recruits Tom The Mailman for their intriguing new record, “Slow Dance.”
Fully arranged by Bedrooms himself, “Slow Dance,” sounds as if it should be being played at Prom during a 1980s High School movie, providing funky synths and eclectic melodies that feel both vintage and completely refreshing. Though he posses an impressive vocal range, he proves that he knows when to use it and when not to, as he accurately stays in pocket this whole song, never trying to do too much or too little. With Tom coming in for a scene-stealing verse to close it off, there’s no reason why, “Slow Dance” shouldn’t be on everybody’s playlist that they listen to when they wind the day down, or when they’re on their way home.
Check out the single below and be sure to stay hip with Bedrooms.
