Hailing from Arizona by way of Chicago, rising artist Devo is not one of those people, as his belief is for every moment to be seized. Set to the backdrop of a suburban Chicago neighborhood, “Reappear,” is a simple, yet effective video that does a brilliant job of evoking the feelings brought forth from the record. Produced by popular Arizona artist Hotelroom, the production takes cue from the burgeoning Jersey Club scene, as Hotel perfectly sets Devo up with off-kilter drum patterns and incredibly infectious melodic patterns. Combining that with the tranquil visuals from Laka Films, “Reappear,” serves as simultaneously a great introduction into Devo for new fans, as well as an engaging new chapter for fans that have been around for a while.
